We May Lose in November

I don’t think a day goes by that I don’t hear at least one Republican member of Congress or a conservative pundit on the radio declare that we are going to overwhelm the Democrats in November and in 2024. The level of confidence often borders on inevitability. And why not?  To say that Joe Biden and the Democrats have destroyed the U.S. economy, raised crime and misery, gas prices, grocery prices, and soon unemployment, is not an overstatement. All of these things are true.

In the America of even 10 years ago, no political party that had brought about all of these negative changes in the country would stand a chance. Voters would boot them out in a New York minute. But, this is 2022 and the forces that control election outcomes have changed dramatically.

How often do you hear a Republican politician or conservative radio pundit make the statement; “The American people realize” or “the American people know” or “the American people won’t tolerate”……..or something similar?  There is this confidence that America is still in the place where it was 8 or 10 years ago when Gallup polls placed the country solidly “center-right.”

That was then; this is no longer a center-right country. Not even close. There is no “the American people” as expressed by the conservative pundits. That majority doesn’t exist anymore. According to the most recent Gallup poll, “37% of Americans described their political views as moderate.”  That is a slightly larger group than conservatives. This self-description is just a form of virtue-signaling. Most of these people could not bring themselves to vote Republican. Keep reading to understand why.

Standing on the Side Lines

The reasons that Republicans could lose this November and in 2024 are numerous and include this dramatic shift in the population’s overall ideology and conservative’s lack of cohesiveness, resolve and organized efforts to combat corporate wokism, leftwing initiatives and unequal standards of justice.

Case in point: In 2012, Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy expressed his support for traditional/Biblical marriage in an interview. It was an innocent statement of Cathy’s Christian faith that was not designed to malign any person or group and would have been the viewpoint shared by the majority just 5 years earlier.

But this was 2012. America had a pro-gay administration running the country for four years and the forced thinking and worldview was that same-sex marriage was the norm and was not to be questioned. Opinions to the contrary were not expected to be expressed publicly. Cathy had crossed the line.

After all, when Barack Obama took office in 2008, there was only one state, Connecticut, that recognized same-sex marriage. Thirty other states had already put the subject to a vote of the people and added language to their state constitutions recognizing marriage as between one man and one woman. But leading up to his election as president, Obama had promised to “fundamentally change America.”  Although same-sex marriage did not comport with either his claimed Christian faith or his actual Muslim faith, he went ahead, through executive actions, activist court actions and Democrat state legislature actions to bring pressure to the Supreme Court to make same-sex marriage the law of the land.

What Cathy learned by making a casual statement of faith was that there is a “gay-mafia” in America and the American left and progressives will obliterate the livelihood, reputation and well-being of anyone who crosses their enforced worldview.

The New York mafia may have practiced enforced compliance when their loan sharks or enforcers would visit businesses and collect “protection money” or payments on loans, but this is very similar in concept to what the gay-mafia has practiced. You either comply with their worldview or you would suffer very real consequences. This is the action the left took against Chick-fil-A in 2012 after Cathy’s interview comment. They sought to shut down the popular restaurant chain and put it out of business. They instituted a boycott.

This was the one time, in recent memory, when Conservatives and Christians rallied as a group and they came to Chick-fil-A’s rescue. The response was seismic. Long lines waited outside Chick-fil-A restaurants across the country.  Media outlets across the country also had little choice but report on the national response. The restaurant chain, where employees greet every customer with a smile and a “it’s my pleasure” response, was saved from potential disaster. The thousands of Chick-fil-A employees, who treat every customer with great service, regardless of sexual orientation or any other factor, continues to be a leading favorite of consumers today.

So, why is it that conservatives have given up the effort? In the face of growing corporate allegiance to far-left causes and narratives, the glaring injustice of two standards within the law and courts and the blatant bias in the media, conservatives stand on the sidelines. Very few even contact their local media outlets to complain about misinformation.

When rioters from the 2020 riots burned down buildings, attempted to murder police officers and storm federal buildings, there were no consequences and most have never served a day in jail. When Trump-supporters and conservatives rallied around the Capitol or entered without committing vandalism or assault, they were summarily hunted down, arrested and put in jail with no due process or promise of release. When leftists illegally gathered outside the homes of Supreme Court justices and threatened them and their families and doxed their personal information, there were no consequences for the domestic terrorists.

Former members of President Trump’s administration have been targeted by leftwing members of Congress and arrested without just cause and nobody does a thing. It is impossible to ignore the resemblance to the Gestapo or the governments of China or North Korea. America has allowed this transformation of a representative republic to a socialist/communist state to occur without push-back. No, not “America,” but conservatives. The average Democrat is fine with the status quo.

There have been no Chick-fil-A-style rallies in recent years. The one time there was a rally of patriots to both support a president and protest a fraudulent election, the rights of those protestors were exempt from Constitutional rights and many had their lives destroyed. Local news outlets across the country describe January 6th as the “deadly riot at the Capitol” inferring that there were police officers and members of Congress who perished that day.  They never mention the four Trump-supporters who actually did perish. Why is there not a massive response to this misreporting?

Massive Fraud Sails Through

The lack of cohesiveness, resolve and organization among conservatives is not the only force that would trip up a November win and a win in 2024.

The 2020 elections were a dry-run for Democrats. They committed mass election fraud and got away with it. They were able to marginalize any voices that even suggested fraud publicly and have been allowed to characterize Republicans who have voiced concerns, about the many irregularities during the election, as fringe, kooks or outliers. The compliant media has aired thousands of reports about the “lack of evidence” or “failed audits” that Republicans have engaged in. They have convinced even independents that the 2020 elections were completely above board and an unpopular candidate, who did nearly no campaigning, got 80 million votes.

What does this mean for the November 2022 and the 2024 presidential elections?  It means that Democrats have been emboldened to cheat even more. They have rigged the system and made vote-by-mail the norm and installed Democrats in key election positions in many states. In some states, like Arizona, the media has been able to deride the “audit” results as well as claim that vote-by-mail has been the method used by the majority of voters since voting began.  They claim that 90% of voters vote by mail and this has been the norm. In reality, the only time that a majority of voters voted by mail was during the pandemic when most people were avoiding crowds of people. The media has been able to take this one year exception and turn it into a claim of decades-old practice. Vote-by-mail and through drop-boxes allows for many opportunities to commit fraud. That will be the norm.

It Was All Caused by Putin

Another mistake that conservatives make is to believe that the terrible economy, the historically-high gas prices and the sky-rocketing grocery prices will be rightly-blamed on the Democrats. This would be as much of a false assumption as believing that anyone knows what the “American people” are thinking or believing. Most conservatives know the facts; that Democrats and Biden added $9 trillion to the Federal Reserve’s balance sheet. Printing loads of money, and inflating the money supply, results in inflation. More than 2/3 of the current inflation occurred before Russia invaded Ukraine. Most of the increase in gas prices leads directly back to actions Joe Biden took in his first hours in office with executive actions designed to promote green energy and hurt fossil fuels. The bad economy is completely due to the Democrats with only a small boost thanks to Putin. More than half the country does not know this.

Common sense would seem to dictate a clear conclusion that a great majority of Americans, who are suffering under budget-busting food prices and gas prices that have doubled, would be rushing to vote Republican as a protest against the Biden economy and Democrat-created inflation. But nothing could be further from the truth. The larger percentage of the country, those who are either Democrats, independents or the brand-new Democrats who have walked over the border, don’t see the financial challenges they face as originating with the Democrats. They have heard the oft-repeated narrative, on the news and through Democrat politicians, that it has been supply chain issues and the war in Ukraine that are responsible for our current economy. Add to that, fallout from the pandemic. This is what they actually believe.

The other problem for Republicans is that most of this population, especially those under 30, absolutely hate the Republican Party and equate it with the worst our country has to offer. They genuinely believe that the “parties flipped” and that the Republicans really are racists, xenophobes, anti-gay, anti-trans, anti-progress and believe that police should brutalize people. For anyone who has had a discussion with a young person recently, it is concerning how they are so invested in these beliefs, that telling them the truth, results in accusations that you are engaged in conservative propaganda and brainwashing.

In the same way many inner-city thugs see other populations as easy “vics,” “chumps” or targets, the average young person see the baby-boomers and Republicans as soft and push-overs and the weakest sub-population, worth running over and shouting down.

It’s In the Numbers

The attitude by Gen-Z and other younger people towards baby-boomers is only half the story. Many conservative pundits lose sight of the fact that most of the people who died during the pandemic were baby-boomers and those who are older. To lose sight of the fact that a majority of this same population were conservatives is a big oversight. While a million people in a country with 330 million doesn’t seem like a large percentage, it becomes a large percentage when it is mostly Republicans and actual voters who are gone. The left has mostly maintained their numbers. With 3 million or more illegal aliens who have crossed the border recently, there will be at least 3 million more Democrats voting in November and 2024. President Trump said the number could be much higher than that.

The net effect of all this is that there will be no “slam-dunk” in November. As a matter of fact, there could be millions of conservatives with their mouths hanging open in disbelief. Despite a dismal economy and struggling middle-class, the Democrats may very well pull off a victory. And, you might ask, why isn’t compelling evidence, like the movie 2000 Mules, making a difference and allowing “Americans” to see the light with evidence that is hard to dispute?  The only people who watch 2000 Mules are those of us who already believe it’s message. The voters who will vote Democrat have not seen it, will not see it, and haven’t heard a word about it on their local news. Again, nobody can make any claims about “the American people.”

What is the solution? To begin to move in the right direction, we must come together as a force to be reckoned with. We must organize and become active. We must let corporations know, by the millions, of our displeasure. We must let sponsors of left-wing TV shows know, by the millions. of our displeasure. When the NFL went woke, viewership was only down by 11% after the first year. Obviously, conservatives still tuned in. Take a stand, be resilient, become an activist and take action.

We can no longer sit on the sidelines while America is fading away into a socialist mecca for the most fringe 20%. Do something. Say something. Write, call, protest, complain; take action, vote, let the left know that enough is enough. We are the silent minority. We are losing our rights, being unfairly arrested and watched and censored and its time to rise up and stop taking the high road.  There are millions of people who already use the term “both sides” unfairly. Fine; make it a reality. If the left scares corporations, athletes, retailers and politicians, then the right will equal their efforts, and then some. Otherwise, there is only a United States and no America anymore.
